Trap Beckham talks about his new album Heat Wave, the top 3 songs on his iTunes & his musical influences growing up!
XCLUSIVE: Before we get started give our readers some background on you and how you got started doing music?
Trap Beckham: I’ve always done music about as long as I’ve been writing. I started writing music at the age of eight… So I surrounded myself around it. I got my first tape recorder at twelve, and then recorded my first song.
What was the name of your first song?
Man, I believe it was called “44-Inch Rims.” I don’t even know why because I didn’t even know how to drive. (laughs)!
We listen to Heat Wave all the time; for someone who has not heard the album yet what can they expect.
You can definitely expect good vibes and upbeat joints. I have some dope features on there too… big shout out to Trina, Too $hort, Tokyo Jetz, Yella Beezy and Anayah Lamis from Texas. I did a lot of traveling and put a lot of time into this project to guarantee a great vibe.
